Bloodlines is a one of a kind
theatrical production of spoken
word and dance which expresses
how thirteen women of different
generations and cultures experience
their moon times.
The sometimes heartfelt, sometimes
hilarious and always thought provoking
monologues include everything from
a Hindu woman’s story of
the red dot on her forehead, a
woman who throws the family TV
out the window while PMS-ing, to
a woman who bleeds all over a corporation
and a young woman’s first
discovery she is a lesbian when
her friend shows her how to put
in a tampon. The choreography and
costumes for the dances are equally
phenonmenal! There’s everything
from a red winged dragon lady and
red hot salsa dancers to red ninjas,
red caped witches and red spinning
Sufis.
